Why God Gave The LAW to Break? 10 Commandments

Hello friends, welcome or welcome back to this channel called Biing. I am Immanuel Jeswyn. We are exploring Bible. In this video, we are going to explore an important part of Israelite people’s life, the part which will help you to grasp the goodness of God. So without much delay, let us get into the video.

God revealed to the people of Israel and Egyptians who he was by miracles and wonders in the context of the Israelites living as slaves in Egypt through Moses. God warned Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, to release the Israelites and warned him of dire consequences if he refused. God warned Pharaoh with 10 plagues. Pharaoh and his people were not willing to free the Israelites from generation to generation. They exploited Israelites in their labor and not paying them their fair wages. Who wouldn’t like to have slaves who eat only the food they are given and work without pay?

Pharaoh ignored God’s warning and kept hardening his heart. Moses warned Pharaoh that the last plague would be terrible. God foretold that all the firstborn males would be destroyed when God sent a destroying Angel at a certain time unless the people of Israel were delivered at the same time. God provided an opportunity to survive the Lost plague. God told each family of Israelites to kill a lamb and put the Lamb’s blood on their gate Gates so that they could escape the final plague. The Israelites believed God’s word and killed the Lambs and Smur the blood on their Gates. Some other non-Israelites also followed this which actually means this provision is not just for Israelites but to anybody who is willing to believe God’s word.

The time came, God sent a destroying Angel. When the Destroyer Angel struck the firstborn sons of the Egyptians who had no respect for God’s word, the firstborns of the Egyptians died. The families who trusted God’s word and Smur the blood of the Lamb on the doorpost of their houses survived. There was death cry throughout the land of Egypt that very night. Pharaoh commanded the Israelites to leave Egypt. God commanded the Israelites to ask for the jewels and the goods of the Egyptians. The Egyptians were so afraid that they gave them what they asked freely. Thus the fruits of the exploited labor of the people of Israel came to them. No power can stand up against God. No one can stop him from doing doing what he wants to do. God led the people of Israelites through the desert. He performed miracles and wonders to protect them. The people of Israelites were so grateful. Right, let’s see what happened.

The Israelites continued to see God’s miracles until they came to the foot of Mount Sinai. God who had brought the people of Israel to give them a land. Called Moses to the top of Mount Sinai to give the LAW of that Nation. When Moses delayed returning, the people forced Aaron, Moses’ brother, to make an idol for them to worship. Aaron took gold ornaments from them and cast a golden cough for them. They celebrated the statue and danced and drank in front of the statue saying that it had freed them from Egypt. No one has seen more of God’s miraculous wonders than the Israelites but Miracles and signs alone do not lead sinful humans to God.

Man’s sinful nature always opposes God. God gave laws and Commandments to show us who he is and what his expectations are but we need to fully understand what the laws and Commandments expect. The Israelites were to obey all the Commandments and laws. We read in Deuteronomy 11: 26 to 28 behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse. Blessing will come if you obey the Commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today and of curse if you do not obey the Commandments of the Lord Our God but turn aside from the way which I command you today and go after other gods whom you have not known according to this verse this is what God said if the Israelites obey completely they will be blessed and if not they will be cursed. When God asked Israelites will you fully obey my Commandments they all answered yes actually the law requires 100% complete obedience only then it will give you the blessing it promises failure to obey even a small part of the law it is considered as complete Disobedience.

First let’s see what the Israelite people thought about obeying the law. Moses took the book of the Covenant and read it to the ears of the people. They said we will do and Obey all that the Lord has said. Exodus 19: 7 to 8 chapter 24 3 and 7 but what the Lord said and the Lord said unto Moses I have seen these people these are a stiff knuckled people. Exodus 32: 9. Now let’s see what Moses said I know your rebellion and your stiff neck this day while I am still alive with you you have rebelled against the Lord how much more will you Rebel after my death. Deuteronomy 31: 27 here is an interesting verse what God Said what would happen the Lord said to Moses you are about to die and join your ancestors after you are gone these people will begin to worship foreign Gods the gods of the land where they are going they will abandon me and break my Covenant that I have made with them. Deuteronomy 31: 6. Because of his close relationship with God Moses understood this. Moses said what would happen after my death you will surely destroy yourselves and turn from the way that I commanded you therefore evil will befall you in the last days I know that you will do evil in the sight of the Lord to provoke him to anger by The Works of your hands. Deuteronomy CH 31 verse 29. Let’s see one more person’s opinion Joshua said to the people you will not serve the Lord. Joshua 24: 19.

Now let’s see what happened when God’s predestined time came just as he had promised Abraham he brought the Israelites to the land of Canaan for hundreds of years the people of Canaan did not seek or worship the true God they worshiped not only various Idols as Gods but they also committed many sinful acts as part of their idolatry since their idolatry was sinful there was no lack of sinful practices in their personal and social life. In order to punish the people of Canaan who did not believe in the true God and lived a life of whims and fancies also to bless the descendants of Abraham who believed in him and his promises God gave the Canon to the people of Israel he made it clear that if they continue to believe in God and his promises and do what God Said the entire land of Canaan would come under their control but if they did not believe in God and went their own way they would be enslaved again

But the Israelites soon forgot God they did what God had told them not to do idolatry and improper living became a part of their lives every time they denied God he gave them over to other people as slaves whenever they cried out to God not obedience God delivered them from their bondages with judges we can see this cycle of sin slavery cry Deliverance again and again in Israelites history the Israelites could never obey God completely so they never received the full blessing that God had promised times passed the Israelites were slaves of the Babylonians they were slaves of the Persians they were slaves to the Greeks lastly they were slaves to the Romans

God’s law is incapable of being fulfilled by sinful man. The idea that the Israelites could obey God, fulfill God’s laws, and thereby receive God’s blessing was never realized. However, God continued to speak to them through the prophets and made his promises clear and more eloquent. Whenever they failed because of their disability, a person predestined by God would come and deliver them from their bondage and give them a better life.

But the Israelites, who were trained by their sinful nature, thought that the person God promised would be a person like Moses or David who would come and free them from their political bondage, take over the land of God’s promise, rule them as a great king, and give them a prosperous life. But God’s plan was far greater. That grand plan is the coming of Christ Jesus, the son of God as a man to free the people not only of Israel but all, not from the slavery of Israel but from a slavery that has enslaved all people.
